Leadership Development Programs & Impact

How do you measure the impact of a leadership development program?

Updated July 30, 2026

The impact of a leadership development program is measured by evaluating whether leaders are making better decisions, navigating complexity more effectively, strengthening relationships, developing others and contributing to the culture the organization is trying to create.

The most important outcomes are rarely captured by participant satisfaction scores alone.

OSC looks for evidence that leadership is being practiced differently. Are conversations changing? Are leaders responding differently under pressure? Are teams collaborating more effectively? Is the organization becoming more capable of navigating change?

Ultimately, leadership development creates value when it improves the organization’s ability to achieve the outcomes that matter most.
